Job Description
Key Activities
• CAD Automation and Customization: Develop and implement customization and automation solutions using C#, .NET, VBA, and other programming languages.
• Build external applications using VBA scripting in UG NX and automate processes in Teamcenter with ITK, C++, Java, SOA.
• Perform Solid Edge Open scripting, and create Python, C#, and VB scripts for CAD automation.
• Leverage APIs and scripting tools to streamline design workflows and enhance productivity.
• Proven expertise in CAD automation programming using APIs.
• Design and Modeling: Utilize Solid Edge to create accurate 2D and 3D models, including parts, assemblies, and detailed drawings with minimal errors.
• Develop and review P&ID diagrams and hookup diagrams to meet project requirements. Generate technical datasheets and finalize Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Process Improvement: Focus on standardizing processes, tools, techniques, and formats to enhance efficiency. Meet On-Time Delivery (OTD) and quality metrics as defined.
Key Accountabilities
Other that CAD automation the engineer will be accountable for various activities as below;
• Strong hands-on skills with P&ID, 3D Assembly / 3D Part modelling / 2D Draft environments, preferably in Solid edge.
• Strong application and detailed engineering knowledge of mechanical seal support systems (API –Piping Plans) or similar fluid control systems products (like Lube oil Consoles or Oil Lubricating Systems or Pre-jacking systems, High Pressure-Low pressure systems or Filtration units etc,) for applications in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Steel industries.
• Good knowledge in interpretation and compliance of project specification from OEM, EPC and End user will be added advantage. Hands on experience in selection and release of purchase specifications (Datasheets) of field measurement instruments like Pressure, Level & Temperature gauges, transmitter etc.
Qualifications
• Graduate in Mechanical / Chemical / Instrumentation engineering or equivalent from reputed university, with typical relevant industrial experience around 4 years for Engineer – Wet Seal Systems (Engineer - II)
• Excellent communication
• Able to handle complex issues
• Experienced in Piping, Mechanical seal and seal systems.
