Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural, Architectural or Civil engineering from an accredited college or university

1-2 years experience in roadway planning and highway design

Working knowledge of Microstation

Effective communications skills; both oral and written

Ability to interact professionally with clients and all level of employees within an organization

Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime as needed

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently

Responsibilities

Review design details, and coordinate technical recommendations, assess the cost-effective constructibility of the project and generally evaluate the project

Produce detailed, final design plans, specifications and estimates in accordance with AASHTO, FHWA, TXDOT
