As an Engineer, your role requires you to deliver excellence in service to stakeholders who comprise Sky on Clouds user base and ensure the Sky QA and SRE squads requirements are continuously met by the solutions delivered. You will be required to focus on the delivery of solutions for running Sky on Cloud, and to ensure there are no breaches of costs and unmitigated changes to delivery schedules.
You will also be required to adhere to all procedures to ensure quality standards are met in delivered software and infrastructure, as well as ensuring there are no breaches of agreed compliance and risk controls governing Sky on Cloud development and delivery.

What Will Your Day Look Like
As an Engineer, you will:
• Work closely with SKY QAs and Quants requirements are met and solutions delivered.
• Work closely with the other Engineers within the Tech Area to enhance the sky on cloud infra code.
• Regular catchup with QA leads to prioritise the Cloud nonprod issues and resolve them effectively.
• Accountable for maintaining release tag creation process and running smoke tests for SKY major releases.
• Drive alignment of SOC priorities through a consistent and coherent communication plan.
• Ensure there are no breaches of costs and unmitigated changes to delivery schedules.
• Contribute to SKY hybrid and sky modernisation journey.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
• Hands on experience with Cloud hosted applications built with Terraform, Python, Powershell, Shell scripting.
• Experience with AWS Cloud, Github/ Bitbucket, CICD tooling highly regarded.
• Experience working with Codefresh and TeamCity pipelines.
• Deep experience working with agile software development processes.
• Demonstrated foresight and proactivity in identifying and mitigating risks and issues during delivery.
• Adhere to corporate standards and processes while leading the team in developing and releasing the solution within the communicated timeframes.
• Excellent stakeholder identification, engagement and ongoing relationship management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proactively working in a team environment as a collaborative team player.
