Job Title- Oracle Database Engineer
Location- Pune
Role Description
We are seeking a well-rounded technologist to help scale the data infrastructure. The Global Database Engineering Team manages the relational database platform and develops the automation, which keeps the business systems operational.
The Database Engineer will support the ongoing development of the relational database platforms and provide evaluation, certification and packaging of relational database tools as well as developing and maintaining platform automation scripts and applications.

Experience / Exposure
This role is for end to end software development involving core Java, Restful services and Spring framework as middle ware, Oracle SQL / SQL Server as back-end database and React UI as front-end. The candidate is expected to be expert in core Java fundamentals along with basic React / JAVA Script development skills. Strong hands on experience of Spring framework / Spring boot, Hibernate / JPA, messaging services and Restful web services. The candidate will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications.
Must have
• 13+ years of experience in Core Java, Spring framework
• At least two to three years of cloud implementation experience
• Worked with restful web services (XML and JSON), messaging middleware (IBM MQ and KAFKA streaming)
• Good hands-on experience writing UI components with React framework and JavaScript / Typescript
• Robust working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle); solid knowledge of UNIX / Linux including shell scripts
• Good experience in TDD, CI/CD Pipeline and Agile development (Junit, Git, Jenkins / TeamCity, Maven / Gradle)
• Good understanding of advance Java design pattern, Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms with robust analytical and problem-solving skills
• Help shape and execute the technical roadmap to develop next generation features; integrate corporate- and product-level architecture principles and goals into the teams project work through designs, implementation strategies, and project planning.
• Drive a culture of quality, technical curiosity, continuous improvement, and evidence-based data driven decision making in the organization.
• Lead team in software development best practices including Peer Code Review, Unit testing, Automated Deployments, and Automated Testing.
• Require experience and Strong understanding of entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile (Scrum), Software design/architecture process, CI/CD processes, unit testing & Business-Driven Development (BDD)
• Strong knowledge of SOA, object-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded application development
• Experience in reporting and analytics, queuing and real-time streaming systems
Nice to have
• Basic understanding of authentication and access-control framework like Spring security or any other
• Hands on experience of BDD
• Good understanding of Google cloud / Kubernetes, certification preferred
