What we are looking for
We’re looking for a Web Automation Engineer with 3+ years of experience who can take ownership of existing automation workflows and make them faster, more resilient, and scalable. You’ll work closely with our product team to enhance systems that extract data across complex, dynamic endpoints. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in fast-changing environments and understands how to make automation systems production-ready.
What you’ll be doing
• Implement web automation across a series of endpoints with varying complexity.
• Strengthen and modernize existing workflows using Playwright, Puppeteer, or similar tools.
• Design frameworks for abstract, repeatable automation processes.
• Apply advanced anti-bot evasion techniques: CAPTCHA solving, proxy/IP rotation, fingerprint spoofing, etc.
• Improve error handling, resilience to site changes, and execution speed.
• Work with product and engineering teams to debug edge cases and scale data acquisition needs.
Skills you need in order to succeed in this role.
• 3+ years of experience in web automation or web scraping roles.
• Proficient in Node.JS and/or Python scripting.
• Hands-on experience with headless browsers (Playwright, Puppeteer, or Chrome DevTools Protocol).
• Deep understanding of browser behavior, HTTP/S, cookies, sessions, and DOM manipulation.
• Experience tackling anti-bot systems, rate limiting, fingerprinting, and detection.
• Ability to read, improve, and maintain existing automation codebases.
Nice to Have
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD, or automation in distributed environments.
• Experience working in Agile product teams or startup-like environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling, browser debugging, or mobile/web crawling.
