Application Description - API Management API Management Platform provides a platform to advertise and discover Services/APIs, formalize contracts and SLOs, and automated controls to enforce them. API Gateway being the center of platform, it is a simple and highly scalable technology-agnostic reverse proxy designed to integrate seamlessly with microservices, monolithic apps, and serverless architectures onto cloud Responsibilities and Qualifications As part of our global API Management Platform team you will work on various components as a Software Engineer. Your role includes specification, development, rollout of new features. You are expected to contribute to the vision, understand our product roadmap, integrate business value with experience , and contribute to building an engineering culture within the team. We expect the successful candidate to deliver high quality software and to be passionate about software engineering. You must have a proficient understanding of software development concepts and good understanding of Cloud concepts is needed. How will you fulfill your potential? Design and implement the API management ecosystem, including development, API publications, deployment, and monitoring Define guidelines and best practices in API development, standard s and lifecycle management Partner with cloud providers such as AWS to shape the future of public cloud services for finance industry Basic Qualifications Strong technical ability, willingness to learn and evolve your skills with advances in technology 2-5 years of relevant professional experience using a programming language (preferably Java) Hands-on Java developer, with a solid grasp of Java development and testing best practices Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines Team player, eager to work and collaborate in a global , rapidly developing organization Analytical mindset, creativity , and commercial focus Strong oral and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor or Advanced Degree in Computer/Electronics/Electrical or equivalent Knowledge and experience of cloud technologies and tooling Experience working with containers and Kubernetes Experience with API development and tools Working knowledge of Golang or Lua languages Develop full stack applications with due consideration to security, design, validation and SDLC framework Participate in system design consulting and platform management Develop resilient, scalable and secure solutions using cloud native services ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
