Engineering Assistant-Summer Term-Terminals
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software, with a strong focus on manufacturability
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve design issues in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams
Create and maintain technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and design notes
Support and conduct product testing, analyzing results and updating design requirements as needed
Develop, implement, and maintain work instructions for assembly, testing, and manufacturing processes
Provide engineering support to production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing execution
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Enrolled in:
Mechanical Engineering program (3rd or 4th year), or
Mechanical Engineering Technology program (2nd year)
Strong understanding of basic manufacturing processes and principles
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and blueprints
Proficiency in SolidWorks
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast paced, team oriented environment
