The role sits within Procurement, Tax, and Treasury (PTT) Tech area under Enterprise Finance and Data domain in Group Services division. We service multiple business areas and this role will work on supporting systems in scope for Procurement - Peoplesoft Accounts Payable, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), Oracle Cloud Integration (OIC). We service Enterprise Finance business, and our systems have complex upstream and downstream integration footprint.
This is Engineering Chapter Lead role responsible for delivering engineering outcomes for projects and releases in PTT space by working closely with other engineers, architects, technology, and business stakeholders. In addition, this role is expected to lead and guide engineers, improve their engagement, assess, and manage their performance.

• Must have 12 years of relevant experience in IT (experience in banking domain preferred)
• Deep expertise in PeopleSoft and any middleware application with exposure to APIs and Cloud integration applications
• Strong experience in ERP implementation, upgrade, and integration projects (effort estimation, planning, design, build, test, deploy phases)
• Must have prior experience of leading an engineering team of 5 to 10 people
• Strong experience in understanding business requirements, providing technical design options, and recommendations
• Strong written and assertive verbal communication skills to create shared clarity with engineers, technology leaders, and business stakeholders
• Ability to collaborate and rally the right people to achieve the outcome. Ability to make tough calls, move at pace with care
What will your day look like
• Work on technical design of projects in PTT Tech area including life cycle upgrades of PeopleSoft applications, maintenance releases in PeopleSoft integration projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers on technical/integration/infrastructure/security design.
• Work on projects to implement new ERP modules or new ERP SaaS products for the bank.
• Review technical work by engineers, review testing outcome of projects and releases.
• Create/review the implementation plan of major projects, collaborate with multiple squads on dependencies, risks, approvals, etc.
• Facilitate rapid decision making for the team
• Shape how ANZ delivers on its commitment to providing great customer service through technology
What will you bring?
• PeopleSoft and/or Hyperion technology (HFM, Essbase, DRM, IP, FDMEE) skills
• Strong SQL, data analysis, performance tuning skills
• Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts like tables, views, indexes, stats, triggers, partitions etc. Understanding of Oracle Golden Gate is a plus.
• Strong skills in leading root cause analysis, tracing, and debugging of high-priority complex technical problems
• Functional understanding of Procurement and Accounts Payable functionality- from Voucher posting to the payment cycle, etc.
• Understanding of integrations, data flow, and processing in and out of PSAP to the downstream application in Procurement (Ariba, Concur, RSDS, and other downstream systems)
• Deep understanding of SAFe and Scrum frameworks and agile project delivery
• Understanding of ITIL, incident management, problem record management, change management
