The Chief Data Office enables expert management and use of data assets across the Bank through establishing and enforcing data principles, policies and standards, establishing and monitoring execution of a group-wide data and reference data strategy & roadmap and providing expertise, education, frameworks, tools, platforms and capabilities to enable execution
ESG Data and Technology is a function within CDO that drives the implementation of data, products and services that support the bank in meeting its goals around sustainable and responsible finance. ESG Data and Technology is supporting the ESG Key Deliverable - one of the most-high profile and impactful initiatives in the bank.
ESG Services delivery is one product delivery workstream within the ESG KG, which will deliver alongside ESG Data Sourcing, Finance and Risk Reporting streams to deliver an end to end ESG capability for the bank.
ESG Services will provide a bank-wide set of services for the lifecycle management of ESG and Sustainable Finance deal classification, in line with regulatory and internal ESG taxonomies, as well as management of Climate, Net Zero and other ESG risks. The services will ensure this information is usable to support regulatory and management reporting, pricing, risk management and commercial opportunities for the bank, and therefore interacts with a large number of business lines, processes and systems across the whole bank.
ESG Data workstream is responsible for sourcing and integrating the ESG data attributes the bank requires for reporting and decision making covering bank-wide Clients, Instruments, Countries and Industries, sourced from external vendors.
We are offering a unique opportunity to be part of the senior team that is initiating this transformation, with a chance to set up the engineering delivery capability of ESG Services and ESG Data, and lay the foundations for what will be a multi-year product journey leveraging strategic technologies including Google Cloud.

Job Overview: Deutsche Bank is looking for an experienced, motivated and ambitious Lead Engineer to set up and lead the delivery capability supporting ESG Services.
• Working with the ESG Services and Data Programme Leads, business and business analysts to understand core functional and non-functional requirements
• Work with the solution architects and other lead developers in the team to define the application designs and component architectures
• Ensure that components are built according to agreed designs and meet the functional and non-functional requirements
• Instituting best practice in delivery including leveraging best practices
