Job Title: Infrastructure Design Professional
The role involves the design of structural systems, including buildings, plant structures and related facilities. Key areas include analyzing designs for safety and cost-effectiveness, ensuring they meet building codes and client requirements. Additionally, preparing tender documents, MTOs (Material Take-Off) and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) is an essential part of the job.
In terms of required skills and qualifications, candidates must have a solid understanding of engineering practices and be able to produce accurate mathematical models representing the structure or foundation. This requires strong analytical skills, especially when applying critical thinking and creative problem-solving approaches to complex structural designs.
Beyond technical abilities, effective communication with other disciplines is crucial. Reviewing and checking design drawings and calculations, as well as reading equipment layouts, piping GA drawings and isometric drawings, are also key responsibilities.
