Engineering Lead – Stealth Startup
Type: Full-time, 4.5 days a week, Night Shift (Working in US / PST hours)
Compensation: 30-70 LPA (based on experience)
This VC-backed stealth startup turns founders’ voices into visibility. We help executives grow influence by transforming their insights into high-quality content — distributed across Linked In, blogs, newsletters, podcasts, and press.
We’re building the AI engine that powers modern content distribution — replacing the bloated agency model with software and agents.
Founded by Zain Jaffer (Vungle – $780M exit), this new company is growing fast, and backed by real revenue and early traction.
Role Overview
We’re hiring a hands-on Engineering Lead to drive the next phase of our platform. You’ll lead and mentor a growing team (currently 4 engineers, scaling to 10-20), set technical direction, and own systems that combine custom LLM pipelines, automation workflows, and product UI/UX.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and play a critical role in building product, team, and culture. We’re looking for someone who thrives in early-stage chaos and knows how to ship with quality and speed.
Responsibilities Lead and grow an engineering team (currently 4, scaling up to 10)
Own system architecture, infrastructure, and reliability
Design and evolve LLM workflows (e.g. RAG, embeddings, prompt chaining)
Guide development of automation layers, backend APIs, and internal tools
Set and enforce technical standards, performance, and clean abstractions
Work cross-functionally with product, content, and design teams
Stay hands-on in core systems — especially in the early stage
Recruit, onboard, and mentor new engineers
Requirements 5+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience
2+ years in a technical leadership or mentorship role
Experience building or contributing to LLM-powered applications
Strong backend skills (Python preferred; FastAPI, Django or similar)
Proficiency with Postgres, Mongo
DB, and API architecture
Excellent written and spoken English
Prior experience at fast-moving product companies (not service/agency roles)
CS Degree from IIT, IIIT, NIT, BITS, DTU, NSUT, or equivalent real-world accomplishments
