The position will focus on defining the long-term technical vision, hiring top talent, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Leadership: Own and lead the engineering function of the SaaS product suite.
• Project Oversight: Manage software development tasks, milestones, and dependencies across concurrent projects.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers.
• Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Business, and Sales teams to enhance product capabilities and services.
• Best Practices: Implement industry-leading standards and practices for software development.
• Talent Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing engineering team.
• Problem Solving: Manage multiple priorities effectively and drive optimal outcomes for the organization.
Ideal Candidate
• Experience:
• 5+ years managing Software Engineering teams.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Technical Skills:
• Proven expertise in building enterprise software solutions.
• Proficiency in languages like Java, Node.js, Golang, and Scala.
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, and Kafka.
• Experience with SAP and integrations is a plus.
• Leadership:
• Track record of delivering large, cross-functional projects.
• Ability to attract and grow top engineering talent.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills grounded in first principles.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex technical information.
