Engineering Manager – Remote

Responsibilities:
Manage the entire product life cycle of an engagement/idea from strategic planning to tactical execution.
Have an active role in overall solution design, review, and implementation.
Oversee and manage a focused engineering and development team, and guide activities related to development and delivery.
Be a thought leader and trusted voice among your team for making diligent architectural and operational decisions.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and client stakeholders.
Instill a culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability.
Coordinate and contribute to the prioritization of projects and activities within the team.
Collaborate across business teams, discussing requirements with solution architects, product managers, and client stakeholders.
Partner with product managers to create roadmaps for delivery, measure progress on roadmaps, and hold teams accountable to deadlines.
Proficient team handling and communication.
Able to handle customer communication and presentations.
Knows scrum rituals, able to follow agile methodology and has knowledgeable on tools for running the agile methodologies such as Jira.
Willing to learn new things and articulate.
Experience
10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and/or infrastructures across platforms and open-source technologies.
6+ years of experience leading teams.
Broad technology experience, not limited to cloud architecture, application development, relational databases, No
SQL databases, containers, serverless, management and monitoring.
Hands-on experience building front-end applications
Experience in one or more backend technologies such as Java, Python, Node, etc.
Experience architecting and designing solutions on the cloud such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
Proven track record of technical leadership and successful delivery on large and complex projects.
Demonstrated success influencing senior level stakeholders on strategic direction based on recommendations backed by in-depth analysis.
Strong team building, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
Experience with Agile project management.
Experience working with and leading teams across internationally dispersed locations
