Role In Nutshell
You are an experienced QA Engineering Manager who will be responsible for driving application quality engineers, building metrics, and planning quality goals for the squads. You will be driving highly motivated Quality engineers whilst planning delivery and quality goals for the team and will be responsible to run the quality metrics for the organization.
Please note: While the role will continue to operate remotely, we are currently focusing exclusively on candidates based in Mumbai for this position.
Desired Experience
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, critical thinking, debugging, solid communication, with the ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and report results
• Should have 2+ years of experience in a people management role and 8+ years exp in Quality Management
• Experience in Automation for UI and Mobile application (Selenium and Appium)
• Experience working with, customizing, and extending test automation frameworks
• Exposure to Performance or any other Non-Functional testing
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of test methodology and tools, software testing standards, methods and conventions, build systems, and the product development cycle
• Experience with one or more continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins), version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Willingness and flexibility to switch between multiple high priority assignments
• Exposure to DevOps tech stacks like Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins
What will you do?
• You will be responsible for planning sprint operations for different squads.
• Design and implement formal QA processes, procedures and best practices to ensure efficient, effective testing for both enhancement and regression testing
• Ensure the team is focusing and unblocking them from any particular task
• Supporting and enhancing the QA methodologies to ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases.
• Development & review of Integration, automation & performance test plans to perform measure and certify the product quality
• Monitor and Mentor the Test Automation team in building robust and highly reliable test suites using the Selenium tool with a programming language such as Ruby
• Publish team goal (annual), test execution, defect summary and daily/weekly status report to all the stakeholders
• Must possess critical thinking skills in addition to good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Manage the QA team efficiently, coach, motivate and be involved in the hiring and review cycle.
• Be Informed and cognizant of the key processes in the business and understand the metric breaches.
