Job Description
The Assistant Chief Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities, including performing daily checks, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, and developing emergency programs. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance tasks to maintain the integrity of our hotel facilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment, including lifts, to ensure optimal performance and safety
Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and minimize expenses
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate renovation projects and ensure timely completion
Conduct regular safety inspections and provide training to employees on health and safety procedures
Requirements
Strong technical knowledge of building management and engineering principles
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and respond to changing situations
Previous experience in a management role, preferably in a similar industry
