As an Engineering Planner, you will sit at the centre of maintenance, production, and compliance, owning the planning and coordination that keeps critical pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment operating reliably. Your work will directly impact equipment uptime, product quality, and regulatory readiness.


Success in this role goes beyond scheduling. You will establish a reliable maintenance rhythm, improve visibility across engineering activities, and ensure all maintenance and calibration tasks are planned, traceable, and audit ready. You will be trusted to bring foresight and discipline to an environment where precision is essential.


What You’ll Do

Plan and schedule preventive, corrective, and calibration maintenance through the CMMS to maximise equipment reliability and compliance.
Align maintenance activities with production schedules to minimise disruption to manufacturing operations.
Create and manage work orders, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and timely completion.
Maintain asset records, calibration plans, and equipment history within the CMMS.
Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and monthly performance reports to support planning and leadership visibility.
Forecast and coordinate spare parts requirements to support planned maintenance activities.
Partner with procurement and stores teams to ensure availability of critical spare parts and materials.
Maintain accurate tracking of spare parts usage within work orders to ensure traceability.
Support development and optimisation of critical spare parts strategies to reduce downtime risk.
Maintain organised and efficient stores practices using 5S principles to improve accessibility and control.
Plan and coordinate external contractors for specialist maintenance and calibration activities.
Ensure contractors have clear scopes of work, appropriate documentation, and site access.
Track contractor activities through the CMMS to maintain compliance and visibility.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of all maintenance activities.
Maintain GMP compliant maintenance records and documentation within the CMMS.
Ensure all maintenance activities are audit ready, accurate, and fully traceable.
Support internal and external audits by providing maintenance data, records, and reports.
Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance systems, planning processes, and CMMS data quality.


What You’ll Bring

2+ years’ experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or coordination within a technical or manufacturing environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to work.
Experience using a CMMS, SAP experience highly regarded.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across engineering, production, and external partners.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Exposure to spare parts, inventory, or stores management.
Tertiary qualification in an engineering or STEM related field preferred.
Understanding of GMP or regulated environments is advantageous.
Previous coordination or supervisory experience is beneficial.
