Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Teach PLTW Engineering courses and/or general engineering coursework to junior and senior high students
Design and implement engaging, project-based lessons that promote creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration
Guide students through the engineering design process using appropriate tools, technology, and instructional resources
Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom and lab environment
Collaborate with colleagues across grade levels and content areas to support STEM initiatives and school-wide goals
Participate in professional development related to engineering, STEM education, and instructional best practices
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration
Qualifications
Valid Indiana teaching license, or eligibility for licensure, in Engineering, Technology Education, STEM, Science, or a related field
Experience teaching middle school and/or high school students preferred
Familiarity with PLTW Engineering curriculum preferred, but not required
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Passion for STEM education and a commitment to fostering a supportive, engaging learning environment
