Must Have Associate's Degree and 1 years of relevant experience One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience Nice to Have Basic knowledge of submarine construction and operations
Experience in work or testing involving submarine ship systems US Navy qualification in submarines
Ability to work aboard submarines

Responsibilities
The Role Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data
Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports
May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
The Ship Safety Watch is a competent and trained watch stander that monitors the ship for hazards and casualties related to Ship Safety, and Watertight Integrity
Provides a continuous roving patrol (at least once every hour) of the ship topside, below decks, piers and dry docks
Reports any casualties in accordance with the Health and Safety manual, Y-6.4, and the Casualty Response MOU's
Operate the Ship's Casualty Control Station
Removes danger tag and positive locking devices, from ships components with an approved Watertight Integrity Change Request (WICR), and returns components to original condition when operation is no longer required, updates Sea Valve Order Board (SVOB) database, monitors air bank pressure daily
Checks areas of responsibility daily, Investigates unusual conditions, Informs Ship Safety Officer, Ships Duty Officer and takes appropriate action, Records results in Ship Safety Log, Shall man the CASCON Station (Except on New Construction prior to Launch)
