About Kondor Team
Kondor+ is a Trade Platform from Finastra. The system handles all Products of the Investment Banking suite being Securities, Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Equities & Derivatives. Providing the FIC with a dedicated team that capitalizes on the rapidly evolving technology industry and ultimately capturing additional market share for the firm. Agile teams with specialized skill sets (FinTech-like setup), defining core architectural principles, standardized tech stack with cloud as an enabler and focusing on MVP with go-to-market strategy.
A globally distributed team building multiple concurrent projects within the FIC domain needs a Kondor Developer to work across regional resources implementing business requirements at the highest quality.

Your Key Responsibilities
Forming part of the Kondor+ team you will be responsible for helping to drive Deutsche Bank’s strategy for technological excellence in expanding the firm’s offering and leveraging varying Fintech partnerships and solutions. Together with the team you will translate requirements into industry leading technology solutions. In your role you will:
• Designs, develops and documents Java, SQL, Perl, Shell scripting software components for the Kondor+ backend and Frontend in accordance with requirements, potential frontend integration, functional and technical design documents.
• Completes and elaborates technical software design (high level design) in accordance with solution(s) standards set by FIC IT Engineering, Lead Technical specialist and documents of the same.
• Participates in design/code reviews and resolve findings in reviews (4 eyes principle) of developed source code
• Identifies dependencies between software product components, between technical components (such as database tables and master data files), and between applications and interfaces.
• Assesses and identifies mitigation of risks including those related to high level design, integration, and quality of data.
• Identifies product integration verifications to be performed based on the integration sequence and relevant dependencies.
• Determines the impact on test and production environment (if any).
• Contributes to Level 2 support including problem and root cause analysis
• Ensures architectural changes (as defined by group architects) are implemented
• Fixes software defects/bugs
• Measures and analyzes code for quality
• Provides development estimates
• Ensures that all code changes are tracked and recorded through the groups change management process and that development is scheduled and approved
• Provides release deployments on non production management controlled environments
• Captures build and deployment notes, develops software product deployment & operating instructions
• Supports creation of software product training materials, software product user guides, and software product deployment instructions
• Checks consistency of documents with the respective software product release
• Collaborates with functional analysts and technical specialists to complete work, as required
• Designs and implements test cases in collaboration with QA lead including expected results and handle negative test case scenarios – utilize and/or develop automation for test cases.
• Ensures adequate and accurate documentation at various stages of work in accordance with SDLC documentation requirements.
• Assist in the adoption of modern engineering practices, design principles and Agile methodology across the Kondor team
• Engage with the business sponsors and stakeholders to implement requirements according to agreed timelines
• Partner with QA to ensure quality solutions are delivered to end users
• Provide Level 3 support
Your Skills And Experience
• Experience in Core Java, Database Technologies (e.g. SQL, Hibernate, NoSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, Sybase), micro-service architectures, Kubernetes containerization platforms (GKE, OpenShift)
• Practical experience with build tools (e.g. Maven, Gradle), version control (e.g. Git) and continuous integration systems (e.g. Teamcity, Jenkins)
• Messaging Technology and Tools: JMS/MQ or comparable low latency systems
• Good knowledge of various design and architectural patterns
• Understanding of industry standard processes for build, deploy, release and support (CI/CD, incident/problem/change management etc.)
• Experience in Agile practices
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting, and basic systems administration skills (utilities, commands, editors, basic investigation
• Experience in the finance industry and understanding of financial products and business processes would be beneficial
• Experience working within the Fintech community would be beneficial
• Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience
