Job Title: English Captioner

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced English captioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality closed captions, transcripts, and dialogue list scripts in English.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of English closed captions, SDH, English templates, Transcripts, and dialogue list scripts with a focus on accuracy and speed.

• Annotate key English phrases to maintain the high quality of our translation products.

• Maintain quality standards while working efficiently under pressure with changing priorities.

• Work a specified on-call schedule in addition to regular hours.

• Ongoing tasks include other duties as assigned by the management team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in English, linguistics, language study majors, or related fields (e.g., Entertainment and Media).

• Film/Broadcast Captioning and Scripting experience is mandatory.

• Knowledge of professional scripting, subtitling, and audio software is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in using computers, Microsoft Office, and different software applications.

• Excellent reading skills, spelling/vocabulary, and grammar knowledge.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

• Must be local to Los Angeles, with no relocation assistance provided.

Salary:

$25/hour based on the required qualifications and location.
