Description
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Spoken English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching English as a second language, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an immersive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and interactive spoken English lessons that focus on developing speaking and listening skills.
Create lesson plans and instructional materials that are aligned with curriculum objectives and student needs.
Incorporate a variety of teaching techniques, such as role-playing, discussions, and multimedia resources, to facilitate language acquisition.
Provide individualized feedback and support to students to improve their pronunciation, fluency, and confidence in speaking English.
Organize and facilitate speaking activities, debates, and presentations to encourage active participation and communication skills development.
Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, such as oral exams, presentations, and speaking tasks.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and performance.
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Collaborate with other English language teachers and colleagues to share best practices and resources.
Stay informed about developments in language teaching methodologies, technologies, and resources.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English language, education, linguistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Native or near-native proficiency in English language.
Previous experience teaching spoken English to non-native speakers preferred.
Strong understanding of language acquisition theories and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse students and colleagues.
Proficiency in technology-enhanced teaching tools and resources.
Certification in teaching English as a second language (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) preferred.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.
Legal authorization to work as a teacher in the relevant jurisdiction.
