Your Role

As an English teacher at BPK PENABUR, you will:

Teach engaging and interactive English lessons to primary, middle, or high school students.

Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum standards.

Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports students of varying English proficiency levels.

Encourage students to develop strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a lifelong love for the English language.

Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities.

Your students may consist of:

-Kindergarten students (3-5 years old)

-Primary school students (6-11 years old)

-Lower Secondary school students (12-14 years old)

-Upper Secondary school students (15-17 years old)

Responsibilities

● Demonstrate contribution to the school community, leadership, a passion for education and commitment to student success ensuring your attendance at attend school events and weekly teacher meetings

● Deliver 24 hours of classroom teaching per week as lead or co-teacher

● Perform lesson planning, teaching, assessment, and reporting each semester

Required Expertise / Qualifications

● A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., TESOL, CELTA, or a degree in Education or a related field)

● Demonstrated experience teaching one or more Cambridge English exam preparation courses (KET, PET, FCE, CAE, Starters, Movers, Flyers)

● Teachers with knowledge of basic mandarin will be required to deliver 1-2 Mandarin language classes per week

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 14 months

Pay: $25,000.00 – $30,000.00 per year
