Job Description
We are seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic teacher able to deliver subjects in English. This is a Permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) teaching role starting Term 1, 2026.
Applicants will be able to demonstrate a track record of:
Their students producing a range of high-quality work
An ability to deliver safe and engaging lessons
An understanding of key concepts and the ability to demonstrate practical techniques
An awareness and ability to provide and manage a safe work environment
Appropriate use of ICT
An ability to develop self-efficacy in the students they teach
What you have to do to succeed:
A tertiary major in English literature and accreditation with NESA
Willingness to teach Extension 1 and 2 stage 6 syllabus (highly desirable)
Excellent communication and writing skills
Excellent ICT skills and willingness to develop ICT skills within an environment where students bring a personal device to school
Willingness to carry out other duties as required by the Head of School that fall within the parameters of the role
Provides references and Working with Children Documentation
Supports the ethos and strategic direction of the school
Ability to differentiate for a diverse group of non-selective students
Ability to teach to the strengths of girls
