A well reputed Proposed IGCSE School in South Mumbai is looking for well experienced teacher to teach
English to primary and Middle Grades
Candidates must have experience of IGCSE or IB Curriculum
• Be primarily responsible for an efficient and effective education of the students in his/her charge as per the stipulations, methodology and framework of the curriculum (which is based on IGCSE) adopted by the school.
• Have experience in teaching in any school which has adopted IGCSE for at least 3 years.
• Be thorough with teachers resources regarding his/her subject
• Is able to design and implement different programs for: reading, writing and speaking for the students.
• Can scaffold the lesson plans for the students as per their need and design rubrics accordingly.
• Can design appropriate visuals for the class to keep students engaged.
• Make timely Unit and Lesson plans for review and approval before implementation in class.
• Attend the school punctually and be present in the School during the prescribed School hours, and devote his/her whole attention to teaching or class work.
• Take the roll call regularly and maintain a record of the attendance of students.
• Make all possible efforts to maintain and improve the attendance in the school.
• Be responsible for keeping accurately and neatly the necessary registers and other records and documents as may be required by the school and to ensure the timely submission of various reports and documents internally as required by the Head.
• Assist the Head, as required, in the general organization of the school activities, student assessment, and in arranging co-curricular activities.
• Be responsible for inculcating in students the habits of cleanliness, neatness and orderly behavior.
• Promote harmony and goodwill among students and to ensure that they are not discriminated on the grounds of financial background or social status.
• Preparing his/her teaching work and maintaining records thereof, as appropriate.
• Keep pace with the actual plan of work drawn and record the reasons for the shortfalls, if any, and undertake timely measures to make up the shortfalls and deficiencies, if any, in consultation with the Head.
• Performance of such other duties and conforming to such other instructions relating to education as may be required or be issued to him/her by the Head.
• Engage in continuous professional development through appropriate workshops, training, courses and incorporate the changes for better in and outside the classroom.
• Establish and maintain thriving relationships with parents and partner with them for furthering the objectives, visions and mission of school.
• Model and inculcate high standards of virtues in students.
• Integrate values in the lesson plans.
• Infuse creativity and ingenuity in the method and style of teaching.

Requirements

• D.Ed., B.Ed. (Required)
