Job Details
We are expanding with a new class of grade 8 and looking to add the best teachers to our team! This is a probationary position with the opportunity to become continuous, based on evaluations. The successful candidate will be an English specialist, with the ability to teach ELA at either the junior or senior high -1 level. We have a collective agreement and salary grid.

Teachers play a crucial role in fostering community and culture in our newly opened school. Alongside subject expertise, they emphasize leadership and team-building skills while ensuring school safety through supervision responsibilities.
All members contribute to a sense of belonging and passion for learning. Teachers will need to vary the instructional strategies, motivational techniques, and remediation strategies depending on the needs of their students with a goal to enhancing academic achievement. Staff are responsible for building relationships with parents and keeping them informed about student progress, strengths, and specific strategies for growth.
They also lead extracurricular activities to enhance student experiences.

General Qualifications
●Education Degree from an accredited institution
● Successful teaching experience in grades 8-+ and/or 10-12 English
● Experience in English AP would be beneficial
● Experience in a homeroom environment would be beneficial
