Part-time ongoing roles based in our Ivanhoe Residential Withdrawal Unit.
About the opportunity
Join our team at Curran Place, a 16-bed Adult and Mother-Baby Withdrawal facility, supporting clients undergoing voluntary withdrawal from ******* and/or other drugs. In this role, you will:
Support clients in achieving their treatment plans alongside nursing staff
Assist with daily living activities
Encourage and facilitate participation in therapeutic program activities
Make a real impact in a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment.
What’s on offer
You will work rotating rostered shifts over the full 24-hour period. Talk to us about what part-time looks like for you, and we’ll do our best to support you.
In addition to Enrolled Nurse year 3 rates and superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.
There is also the option to increase your annual leave entitlements through our purchase leave program.
You will have access to paid parental leave for up to 10 weeks and can receive a 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre.
About you
You will ideally have solid experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in a Drug and ******* or Mental Health inpatient or custodial setting. Most importantly, you have a track record working with clients with problematic drug and/or ******* use in a calm, empathetic, and non-judgmental manner.
You will also bring with you:
Registration as a Medication Endorsed Division 2 nurse with AHPRA.
Certificate IV in AOD or have completed the core competencies (or able to complete within the first 24 months of employment)
Competencies in dual diagnosis (or able to complete within the first 24 months of employment)
Extensive demonstrated practical experience as an Enrolled Nurse
Ability to contribute to and support the provision of educational groups and activities for clients undergoing withdrawal.
Ability and preparedness to assist clients with daily living tasks in a way that preserves dignity and encourages self- reliance.
