Full job description
Schwartz Family Co. Pty Ltd ATF Schwartz Family Trust, trading as Paradise Resort Gold Coast is looking for a full-time Entertainment Manager to join the team.
In this role, you will oversee all entertainment around the resort which include, Planet Chill Ice-skating Rink, Pamper Parlour, Dusty’s Safari Train Ride, Climbing Wall, and the Waterpark, just to name a few!
The successful applicant must be highly organised, detailed orientated and self-driven to plan and supervise our entertainment program, and coordinate our entertainment team and various cast members.
An overview of the responsibilities include:
Planning and scheduling the entertainment program in conjunction with the Group Entertainment Director and Entertainment Supervisors, including both ongoing entertainment programs and new activities including for newly developed areas of the hotel
Plan and deliver a high volume of entertainment activities with supervisory responsibility over a team of over 40 entertainment team and cast members
Training and supervising staff to ensure all experiences exceed guest expectations
Complete staff rosters and timekeeping to ensure adequate coverage across the department, including maintaining attendance records
Explaining and enforcing safety regulations
Liaise with the required hotel departments in the activity planning process in an effective and efficient manner
Assist in the development, communication, implementation and review of policies and procedures
Be pro-active in responding to feedback from guests, staff and management and ensuring a positive resolution is achieved
Be knowledgeable on all resort offerings to drive consistent sales and upselling on all event packages
Consistently build our family friendly atmosphere by implementing new and innovative entertainment activities and shows
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Have relevant formal qualifications
At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience, in addition to formal qualifications (essential)
In some cases, a number of (3-5) years full-time employment in an Entertainment or Activities Co-ordinator role may be considered in place of formal qualifications
Previous event planning and management experience (essential)
Proficient communication and organisational skills
A genuine passion to coach, develop and motivate our staff
A current working with children check (QLD BlueCard) (essential)
A current First Aid, CPR and Advanced Resuscitation certificate (essential)
Ability to be available for a variety of shifts including: mornings, nights, weekends and Public Holidays)
REMUNERATION:
Base Salary: $76,515.00 + superannuation
