Join our dynamic finance team as an Entry Level Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper and play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting operations. Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry of transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Prepare journal entries for various financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes by verifying invoices and processing payments
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to maintain precise financial records
Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations
Generate basic financial reports and summaries to aid management in decision-making processes
Basic understanding of accounting principles such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms is highly desirable
Familiarity with financial concepts including GAAP standards, journal entries, and financial report writing
Strong attention to detail with proficiency in 10 key typing and data entry accuracy
Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger accounting tasks efficiently
Knowledge of governmental accounting practices and tax experience is a plus but not required
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience or coursework in public accounting or corporate accounting is advantageous

Pay: $48,358.68 - $58,238.40 per year
