Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Legal Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone looking to start a career in the legal field and gain hands-on experience in a professional law office environment. The right candidate will be organized, reliable, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys and case managers with day-to-day tasks
Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents
Maintain case files and organize records
Request and follow up on medical records and bills
Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers
File applications and legal documents as needed
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and provide administrative support
Track case progress and report updates to supervising staff
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a strong plus
Knowledge of Needles or FileVine case management software a plus
Preferred knowledge of Massachusetts PIP, Medicare reporting, and MassHealth
Prior office or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
