This is a genuine entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin a long-term career in the legal industry.
At Law Partners, we are seeking a Trainee Paralegal to join our TPD (Total and Permanent Disability) practice in our Melbourne CBD office. You will work closely with a TPD Specialist, supporting their practice while receiving structured, hands-on training across all aspects of paralegal work.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in personal injury law, with ongoing mentorship, guidance, and development from an experienced and supportive team.
This role is designed for someone who is committed to developing into a career paralegal. As we are investing in long-term training and development, this position is not suitable for law students.
About the Role
Working closely with a TPD specialist, you will gain practical, on-the-job experience while assisting with the day-to-day running of files.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the management of TPD client files from initial instruction through to resolution
Preparing legal correspondence and documents
Liaising with clients, insurers, medical providers, and external stakeholders
Requesting, reviewing, and organising medical records and reports
File administration, document preparation, and data entry
General administrative and clerical support to the solicitor and wider team
You will receive continuous training, supervision, and mentorship to help you develop the skills and confidence required to succeed as a professional paralegal.
About You
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and genuinely eager to learn.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience in an administrative or office assistant role
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
A genuine interest in building a long-term career as a paralegal
No prior legal experience is required, although it will be considered an advantage.
