Join us as an Environment Analyst
• We'll need you to support a set of environments used by a platform’s applications and assist as a point of contact for environment-related activities
• Day-to-day, you'll be helping the Environment Manager to prepare a rolling environmental strategy which considers the risks in relation to stability and resilience
• You’ll be a part of a collaborative and supportive team and have the opportunity to work with a range of stakeholders across our bank
• We're offering this role at associate level
What you'll do
Your daily duties will see you enabling the successful implementation of platform change and delivering customer value by assisting the Environment Manager to deliver complex and critical environment-related activities.
Alongside this, you’ll create stories and features for the domain backlog to enable a continual progression of changes and look for ways to improve efficiency, resilience, reliability, quality and manual inconsistency by increasing the use of automation and virtualisation.
Your responsibilities will also include:
• Helping the Environment Manager with a set of non-production environments and non-production environment dashboards
• Maintaining a focus on customer value and providing a positive customer experience
• Working with the Environment Manager to understand the upcoming flow of work and the customer vision in order to contribute to a fast response to environment-related needs
• Understanding and communicating the environment status, health checks and status reports for the platform’s environments
• Collaborating with a range of stakeholders across our bank and third-party suppliers to make sure that platform environments are optimised
The skills you'll need
To be successful in this role, you'll need at least five years' experience of the deployment and configuration of microservices components in PCF and Cloud organisations. You'll also have an understanding of environment readiness activities and how to troubleshoot environment issues.
In addition, you'll have knowledge of environment tools, including PCF, TYK, APIGEE, DXAPM, IAM, Gitlab, Jenkins, UCD, Cloud and CI/CD.
We'll need you to have:
• An understanding of relevant industry standard environment toolsets and processes
• Knowledge of operational principles
• Experience of using virtualisation and Cloud adoption models
• The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to colleagues, including management level
• Good collaboration and stakeholder management skills
