Title: Environmental Health Officer, Temporary - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week (12 month contract)
Salary Range: $+8787.6+ to $114807.35 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)
The successful candidate will have access to a Council vehicle to undertake their work related functions.

The Environmental Compliance Business Unit delivers regulation, enforcement, and education services that protect the public, the environment and groups such as residents, tenants, workers and businesses.
This Business Unit is involved with the investigation and enforcement of legislation, council policy, and customer requests in relation to parking and companion animals, public health and pollution matters, building/development, land use and fire safety, as well as providing private certification services.

Our Opportunity
The key focus areas of this role include:
Enforce legislative and Council requirements and exercise delegated authority from Council and the Chief Executive Officer in respect of a range of professional matters to ensure quality and consistency in service to external clients
Participate in environmental health programs, including: Food premise inspections, public health premise inspections and environmental audits
Investigate enquiries/complaints from the public including the collection of appropriate evidence
