Westpac is currently seeking expressions of interest from talented Network Engineers, Senior Network Engineers, Network Security Specialists, and Network Automation Professionals to join our talent community. We’re Looking for Professionals with One or More of the Following Skill Sets:
Network Security & Firewall Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with next-gen enterprise firewalls (e.g., Juniper SRX, Fortigate) focusing on configuration, routing, and security policy analysis.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise security architectures with low-level design documentation.
Exposure to IDS/IPS policy implementation and event analysis.
Familiarity with logging platforms (e.g., Elastic, Splunk) and monitoring tools like Netscout, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and Accedian.
Network Engineering (Enterprise Switching & Routing)
Advanced skills and hands-on experience with Cisco infrastructure, including BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, VTP, BFD, and VPC.
Deep knowledge of Cisco deployment toolsets, especially NDFC.
Solid understanding of Load Balancing (e.g., F5 – LTM, GTM, APM) and building proxies and authentication profiles.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues using tools like Wireshark, packet traces, and debug analysis.
️ Network Automation & DevOps
Strong proficiency in network automation, including experience with Python, JSON, Ansible, and related scripting languages.
Understanding of APIs, DevOps frameworks, and orchestration tools.
Experience designing and delivering automation workflows and network efficiency solutions.
Project & Collaboration Skills
Ability to collaborate with Project Managers to scope, plan, and deliver technical solutions.
Experience providing detailed design documentation for projects and infrastructure enhancements.
Industry certifications in relevant technologies are considered an advantage.
