Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in equipment repair and maintenance, with expertise in diesel engine repair and the ability to fabricate components as needed. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our heavy machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.

• Conduct diesel engine repairs, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.

• Fabricate parts and components as necessary to complete repairs.

• Operate heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks.

• Conduct inspections of air brake systems and other critical components to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during repair operations.

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory.

• Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in equipment repair and maintenance, specifically with heavy machinery.

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair techniques and practices.

• Familiarity with construction equipment and automotive repair is preferred.

• Ability to fabricate parts using various tools and techniques.

• Experience operating heavy equipment safely is essential.

• Knowledge of air brake systems is a plus.

• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
