Job Description

This is a seasonal position earning $18-20/hr (depending on experience) at the West Kelowna location!

Join our dynamic team and a thriving retail environment! Our Equipment Operators & Maintenance team provides excellent customer service to customers shopping for larger items such as various soils & fertilizers.

Your responsibilities will include:

Operate forklift and loader to move plant material, soil, and other materials around the Garden Centre. Load bulk soil orders into customer trailers & trucks.

Assist with general equipment and facility maintenance including small repairs.

Provide friendly, helpful customer service, especially during pickups or when assisting with soil-related inquiries.

Support day-to-day operations and seasonal projects as needed.

Experience / Education: experience operating a forklift and/or loader is required (certification is an asset, training can be provided).

Competencies:

Customer Service oriented

Adaptability (includes handling high-pressure)

Gardening Enthusiasm - interest in plants or horticulture is an asset but not required.

Mechanical Aptitude - knowledge of tools and small repairs.

Sense of Urgency

You'll experience a diverse and engaging work environment - be prepared for physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 lbs, squatting, bending, and extended periods of walking/standing.
