The Company:

A highly regarded boutique Investment Management

The Role:

The Paraplanner will support a team of Wealth Managers / Wealth Planners in the administrative management of client portfolios as well as assisting in the growth of the business whilst providing a high level of client service and support.

The Paraplanner will prepare and implement recommendations and prepare balance sheets for the client portfolios.

The Paraplanner will create and maintain new and existing client files, CGT calculations plus various client reporting requirements.

The Paraplanner will monitor client accounts entrusting that they are not violating guidelines and update and change accordingly.

The Paraplanner will have face to face exposure with clients and will prepare the client meeting summary plan documents and recommendations, obtaining information to create cash flow plans and follow up on return documentation.

The Paraplanner will gather relevant review documents and review reports required for the meetings.

The Paraplanner will run daily/weekly/monthly performance reports on interval systems, ensuring that any irregularities are inspected and resolved.

The Paraplanner will work with platform and service providers as required.

The Candidate

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Paraplanner or Wealth Planning Support role within Wealth Management.

FINANCIAL PLANNING DIPLOMA - qualified

A good hard-working attitude with an ability to learn quickly - Essential

Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite.

CRM experience - advantageous.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, decision-making abilities and attention to detail

Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.

Origination & Advisory (O&A) at Deutsche Bank combines Investment Banking Coverage and Advisory along with Capital Markets to deliver the most appropriate products to both the C-Suite and Treasurer. Clients include major corporates, financial institutions, financial sponsors, governments and sovereigns around the world.

In this role, you will assist in origination and execution of Equity-Linked transactions across a wide range of sectors including Technology, Media & Telecoms, Natural Resources, Industrials, Consumer & Healthcare, Real Estate, Gaming & Leisure, and geographies including the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Middle East and Africa.

You will also have the opportunity to work on Strategic Equity Transactions that encompass corporate equity derivatives, margin loans and stake-building transactions as well as building out the Equity Capital Solutions business.

Your key responsibilities

• Dealing with all aspects of transaction preparation, structuring, modelling/pricing, due diligence, documentation and management of legal and accounting issues

• Assisting senior team members with origination of new business, including identification of target opportunities

• Preparation of presentations for clients, investors, and the broader investment community, being responsible for responding to client specific requests

• Involvement in all aspects of transaction preparation, structuring, due diligence, documentation, and legal and accounting issues, liaising with infrastructure teams such as legal, compliance and risk management

• Frequent interaction with areas of Deutsche Bank including ECM Syndicate, Strategic Equity Transaction Group (SETG), and Investment Banking Coverage in the origination of new business

• Communicating with clients, advisers and senior investment bankers, including participation in client meetings and events. Assisting with local product/ sector projects, initiatives, and responsibilities, and work towards revenue requirements determined by the business

Your skills and experience

• Convertible bond deal experience in the broader Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region

• Good understanding of financial markets and a background in Equity Capital Markets and derivatives

• Experience of financial analysis, modelling and valuations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluency in multiple languages would be an asset, particularly European languages

• Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/ relevant work experience
