Job Description
The candidate is responsible to perform on below duties. 1. Conduct on-site / physical audits of facilities to assess their compliance with EPR regulations and as per the checklist. 2. Review internal control systems, identify problems, and collect relevant information.
3. Recording, reviewing, and interpreting data to determine the effectiveness of operations. 4. Researching discrepancies, operational problems, or other issues
5. Examining records, reports, receipts, or other documents and comparing them to industry practices
6. Maintaining awareness of current industry trends, technology, and developments.
7. Prepare and present audit reports, including recommendations for compliance improvements.
8. Keep up to date with changes in relevant regulations and best practices for compliance. 9. Maintain accurate and complete records of audit findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
10. Handling additional duties and special projects to ensure the business is operating efficiently and in compliance with all current regulations.
EDUCATION & TRAINING Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
Engineer in applicable domain or with relevant experience
Additional distinctions or certifications may be preferred or required KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in auditing under sustainability and/or environmental parameters under various applicable laws
2. Deep understanding of industry operations, best practices, policies, current regulations, and technology.
3. Knowledge of extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulations and best practices for compliance – can be developed
SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
High level of efficiency, accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel as needed to conduct on-site audits (70% time is in travel) MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, PPT, etc.
