Sportskeeda is looking for ESports Editors to join its team.
We expect the candidate to have deep knowledge and understanding of ESports & Gaming. Fake news, sensationalism, plagiarism, and unreliable reports are increasing in frequency in sports and across the content industry. You will be quick on the foot and will be an expert in eliminating these landmines. You will remain objective and yet have ideas to mentor and foster writers and drive positive change concerning quality.
This is a hands-on role and we need someone who is fast, accurate, and has strong judgment.
Responsibilities:
• The candidate will be expected to edit 350-400 articles per month.
• Meet quality targets for accuracy and speed and continually contribute to improving team performance.
• Exercise objectivity and display strong judgment skills in approving and rejecting topics.
• Liaise with writers and content managers to ensure timely output.
Desired Candidate Profile:
• Impeccable grammar and punctuation and command over the language.
• Self-motivated and focused on meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and be a quick learner.
• Respects deadlines and thrives in a highly competitive environment.
Requirements
• 1-5 years of experience in the content industry
• Must have prior copy editing/proofreading experience
• Ability to work independently and a proven track record of delivering results
• A fast learner with a positive outlook towards a target driven work culture
• A team player with excellent communication skills.

Skills: Effective communication skills including a solid understanding of English grammar and professional writing ability. Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Doc, sheet (particularly Microsoft Word, Google sheet and Doc). Good understanding of SEO and content management systems. Ability to work with large data sets. An ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere. Outstanding ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problems. Self-motivated and enjoys working in a fast-paced and results-driven Strong analytical skills and ability to understand, report and act on data. Innovative, inquisitive and effective problem solver. Communication to team on project development, timelines, and results Provide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages Report to SEO Team Leads with successes, progress and project completion. Basic Knowledge of HTML. Ability to work on CMS to publish the content on the pages and fix the basic on page issues like Title, Description, Heading ( H1 to H6) , anchor text etc. The person should know how to do text formatting, table formatting and implementation of superscripts and subscript in Google doc as well as in Microsoft word.
