About the Role: Estimator, Dunedin
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced professional to step into this key role. You will contribute to our expanding project pipeline by delivering accurate cost plans, tender bids, feasibility studies and managing the tender process end to end.

With our national footprint continuing to expand, we offer flexibility in location, with opportunities available in Otago, Queenstown, Wanaka, Auckland and Canterbury.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for building and construction projects based on project specifications and drawings.
Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimates.
Analyse labour, material, and overhead costs to provide comprehensive pricing.
Maintain and update a database of costs and pricing for future reference.
Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals.
Review and adjust estimates based on project changes or client feedback.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the estimation process.
About You
Bringing a strong blend of technical expertise and commercial construction experience, this role requires confidence to lead, delivery high-quality outcomes, and thrive in a fast-paced pre-construction environment. The ability to this strategically, communicate clearly, and engage effectively with stakeholders ensures real commercial value across the estimating lifestyle.

Contributing informed insights strengthens decision-making, protects margins and supports successful project acquisition. Strong relationships building skills enable seamless collaboration with internal teams and external partners, driving alignment and results.

A relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating within the building and construction industry.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
