Job Designation: Estimator - Interior Turnkey Projects
• Project Analysis: Evaluate project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand the scope, requirements, and constraints of interior turnkey projects.
• Cost Estimation: Utilize estimating software, historical data, and industry knowledge to calculate material, labor, and equipment costs accurately. Consider factors such as market conditions, geographical location, and project complexity.
• Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed bids and proposals in response to client requests, ensuring all costs are accounted for and competitive. Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to strategize pricing and win profitable projects.
• Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services. Negotiate pricing and terms to secure the best value for the project.
• Cost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or client satisfaction. Explore alternative materials and suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, bid documents, and correspondence related to each project. Generate reports and presentations to communicate estimated costs, project progress, and financial projections to stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, architects, and other team members to ensure alignment on project requirements and cost estimates
• Job Specification:
• Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, quantity surveying, or related field.
• Proven experience as an estimator with specific experience in interior turnkey projects.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Familiarity with regulations and industry standards related to interior construction.
• Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex project documents and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation and bid preparation.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present and explain cost estimates to clients and stakeholders.
Negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Problem-solving abilities to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
