What You'll Do
o Design and develop the system components for the extract and transform or conversion of data from various source systems to the target applications;
o Create data structures or data models that support data across all stages of the extract, transform and load process.
o Good hands on experience in implementing the parallel and sequence jobs using Talend / DataStage
o Analyzing, developing, monitoring and administration of the ETL process using Talend / DataStage.
o Also, able to manage the configurations of the nodes, parallel to job implementation activities
o Assist in the ongoing development of technical best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL-related activities.
o Develop ETL processes to populate dimensional data models in warehouse
o Design and develop scalable production grade data validation and automation scripts
o Reverse engineer data from various systems
o Design data auditing subsystem
o Unit testing ETL code to ensure it can be delivered and run in a system testing environment
o Document the ETL system specification. Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides.
o Implements best data management and product development practices including data integrity and quality standards, frameworks, templates, naming conventions and coding standards
What You Know
o Overall 5-7 Years of experience
o Must have strong experience of SQL Server 2016/Azure SQL database/data warehouse
o Must have Writing advanced SQL queries and query optimization
o Must have Report and Dashboard Development (Microsoft Power BI) is a plus
o Should have ETL design & development using Azure Data Factory
o Analytics/ OLAP Cube design, development & performance tuning (Azure Analysis Services - preferred, Microsoft SSAS, DAX - Tabular Model, MDX Multi-Dimensional Model)
o Good to have experience in Understanding Dot net framework
o Good to have experience in Understanding and coding Python
o Resource should be a self-starter and propose solutions (not an order taker)
o Should take on-call support and work in agile environment
o Experience in Retail domain is preferred
Education
• Bachelor's / Master's degree in specific technical fields like computer science, math, statistics preferred; or equivalent practical experience.
