Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineer for ETL and BI applications. You will perform Testing of IT solutions built on technologies like OBIEE, Google Data Studio, Tableau, ODI, Oracle DB, Google Big Query, Hadoop, and Hive etc. You are expected to attend daily scrum ceremonies and meetings with onshore and offshore teams to discuss/resolve impediments. You should have the willingness to learn new technologies and work under pressure with stringent timelines.

Skills Required :
Minimum 8+ Experience in ETL & SQL
Understand the requirements clearly for a proper translation of them into test scenarios and test cases
Strong experience in ETL, Data warehouse and Analytical Report testing
Very strong knowledge and extensive working experience of SQL
Very Strong experience in PL/SQL
Expertise in SQL / Hive querying skills and data analysis (Strongly recommended)
Strong knowledge on ETL process and Data warehouse concepts
Experience in building test cases for business requirements
Tracking of test execution and Defect management
Automation coding skills will be a big advantage
Maintaining high quality and accuracy throughout all aspects of the testing and associated tasks.
Good understanding of SDLC and STLC
Ability in contributing to Test process improvements
Knowledge of defect life cycle and any defect management tool
Providing accurate reporting and metrics to the level of detail required.
Should have root cause analysis skills, able to quickly analyze and interpret
Flexibility and an open attitude to change.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to think laterally, and to think with a medium-term and long term perspective
Ability to learn and quickly get familiar with a complex business and technology environment
Very good communication skills
Knowledge of Agile methodology
Roles & Responsibilities :
Work as part of a team to validate DWH, Data Lake, and BI Reports
Create test plan and align it with overall scope Design and create test cases based on business requirements
Execute test cases by identifying correct source data
Raise Defects on time and bring them to closure when it meets business requirements
Raise Issues/ Risks on time and work with the team leader to bring them to closure
Complete tasks as assigned by the manager, and may assists with other functional areas as needed.
