Job Overview
The Associate Director of Government Affairs for European Union sits within our Government Affairs team, working closely with Regulatory Affairs while under the direct supervision of the Head of Government Affairs, Europe and Americas.
This role is responsible for supporting the Head of Government Affairs, Europe & Americas with designing and implementing the Bank's government engagement strategy across the EU.
Key Objectives:
Align GPRA teams on policy, regulatory, and thematic priorities.
Design and implement engagement strategies that achieve outcomes for GPRA's policy imperatives and thematic topics.
Monitor and track relevant policy and political developments, including government-to-government diplomatic meetings.
Draft internal notes on important policy and political developments, as well as briefing notes for senior executives attending meetings in Brussels.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate effectively across GPRA to design and operationalise government engagement with European governments and institutions.
Work collaboratively with GPRA partners, the Head of Government Affairs, Europe and Americas, and the business to design and implement engagement strategies that achieve outcomes for GPRA's policy imperatives and thematic topics.
Identify critical internal stakeholders and partners for the region's engagement strategy.
Ensure GPRA strategies align with the Bank's strategic direction and growth aspirations.
