An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Events Coordinator, who will use their experience and capabilities to assist with delivering a range of events, including fundraising events, community events and internal events. This is an integral and hands-on role supported by the broader Communications & Engagement team. The Events Coordinator works closely with the Events Manager and is responsible for coordinating all event logistics and assisting the Events Manager in sourcing prizes as well as building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders. Reporting to the Events Manager, this is a full-time role based at Cherrybrook in Sydney’s Northwest. General hours are office hours from Monday to Friday, with flexibility required depending on the timing of events. A hybrid working model is an option after six months.
Responsibilities
Coordinating all logistics for fundraising events, including catering, equipment hire, venue liaison
Leading the coordination and execution of all internal events, including staff events, family events and Inala Festivals, and liaising with various internal sub-committees
Creating and sending event invitations and post-event communications, managing event mailing lists and tracking RSVPs
Working as part of the Communications & Engagement team to deliver events to a high standard on the day
Assisting the Events Manager with developing and maintaining relationships with donors, community, corporate supporters and volunteers
Assisting the Events Manager to expand and grow our supporter base
Assisting the Events Manager with sourcing raffle prizes and auction items
Providing back up admin support for the Receptionist/Marketing Assistant as required, including processing and receipting donations, sending communications to families, compiling the Inside Inala quarterly internal newsletter
Essential Criteria
Proven experience coordinating events
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organisation skills
Excellent PC skills using a wide range of software
A motivated self-starter who works well as part of a small team
Able to work autonomously and also as part of a team
Familiar with digital marketing – website, social media and email
Applies experience to planning and executing events
Able to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility and a can-do attitude.
Strong commitment to achieving personal and professional goals
High-level of personal integrity and a willingness to work within the Ethos of Inala
Able to work non-standard business hours as required
An entitlement to work in Australia
NDIS Worker Clearance
Vaccinated against COVID-1+, and maintains consistency with all applicable PHO’s and Department of Health guidelines
Desirable Criteria
Experience using Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising CRM, Canva and Wordpress
Experience working in the disability sector and/or a not-for-profit organisation
