He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Auckland Stadiums are currently looking for two experienced Event Coordinators to join our busy organisation. Reporting to the Event Manager, you will work across a variety of events including some high-profile sporting events: New Zealand Warriors, Auckland FC and Moana Pasifika, an exciting summer of live entertainment, assisting with the event and venue planning process and provide administrative support to the Event Delivery Team.

In this role, you will engage with clients, offering expertise from the beginning of the event planning phase to coordinate requested event management plans, as well as problem solve when needed. You'll work to develop an understanding of our clients' requirements and work closely with internal teams including the security, property services, suppliers and service contractors to deliver high-quality events. You'll also ensure that health and safety issues are logged appropriately and all relevant stakeholder and client parties are debriefed to ensure high-quality events and maximum client satisfaction.

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role, with the head office at Go Media Stadium, and regular work across North Harbour Stadium and Western Springs Stadium. While the standard work week is Monday to Friday, flexibility is essential during event periods, including evenings and weekends. Time in lieu will be provided.

He kōrero mōu: About you

You'll be proactive and someone who can hit the ground running and contribute from day one. You will be confident and have the ability to easily build rapport with internal and external customers.

Ideally, you'll have experience in event management/coordination, with a qualification in event management or equivalent being a bonus. You will have strong networking skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with both clients and suppliers.

At times, this is a hands-on role, so strong stamina and a good level of fitness are essential.

Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their event management exposure as you'll be working with a variety of stakeholders.
