Description
Responsibilities:
Manage all Special Events, such as corporate meetings, celebrations of life, social parties, internal sports league functions including: take e-mail and telephone enquiries and book events accordingly
Create a detailed ‘event order’ for the booking and to act as the Member’s contract and confirmation and as our working document
Send it to the Member/Non-Member to give estimated costs, set-up details, prices of food and beverages, audio visual requirements, any special requests, décor theme, and time frame
Attend functions as needed to oversee the set-up, to ensure the Members/Non-Members are happy with the arrangements and to make sure all goes smoothly
After the function, finalize payment and follow up with the Member/Non-Member to get their feedback and to ensure they are fully satisfied
Preparing the weekly BEO package & events sheet
Banquet POS updates and required daily, weekly, monthly and annual summaries and reports
Qualifications:
A proven track record, with minimum of 2 years in a events or hospitality role Excellent communication, writing and public speaking skills
A diplomatic personality able to foster relationships with members and employees
A team player who can be part of a team and execute exceptional service
Experience in delivery of fun and enjoyable events
High standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity

This is a full time salaried position that reports to the Food & Beverage Manager. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
