OverviewThe Event Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the planning and execution of various events for the organization. They are responsible for ensuring that each event runs smoothly, meets the organization's objectives, and leaves a positive impression on attendees. The role is crucial in maintaining the organization's reputation and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and guests.Key responsibilitiesPlan and coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual arrangementsCollaborate with internal teams to determine event goals, objectives, and requirementsManage event budgets and maintain financial recordsCoordinate with vendors, sponsors, and third-party service providersDevelop event timelines and schedulesOversee event setup, staffing, and breakdownHandle event promotion and marketing activitiesManage RSVPs, registrations, and attendee communicationsAddress and resolve any on-site issues or emergenciesEvaluate event success and gather feedback for future improvementsStay updated on industry trends and best practices in event managementEnsure compliance with all relevant legal and safety regulationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related fieldDemonstrated experience in planning and executing eventsStrong organizational and project management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in event management software and MS OfficeAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesCreative problem-solving and decision-making skillsKnowledge of budgeting and financial managementAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks effectivelyAttention to detail and strong time management skillsExperience in vendor and sponsor managementUnderstanding of marketing and promotional strategiesKnowledge of audio-visual and technical event requirementsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentCertification in Event Planning or Project Management is a plusSkills: logistics planning,execution,organization,interpersonal skills,planning,decision-making,marketing,event planning,problem solving,vendor management,event management,time management,communication,teamwork,management skills,problem-solving,budget management,multitasking,project management,ms office,logistics coordination,event coordination
