Job Description
The marketing and events coordinator will have frequent communication with the executive director and event manager, scheduling and planning monthly events and thinking up ideas for new events. The event coordinator will also take on store clerk general duties.
Your job will be to spread information about new products and art work, expand the market size for both in person and website sales, observe demographic trends, and come up with customer targeting strategies.
Work on designing advertising and social media campaigns by creating content, updating website material and products as well as conducting research and monitoring campaigns. Support the storefront team through organization and administrative support for various projects.
Duties
Plan and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all details are
Maintain strong communication between the director and external organizations ex. The radio or newspaper etc.
Run Daily open mic
Maintain lesson and sign up schedules and oversee project load.
Basic book keeping
MS Word, Excel, Canva, Cap Cut, Social Media,
Plan, prepare and deliver presentations for new ideas and/ track &
research results
Provide direction, setting up social media/internet/website, flyers, newspaper articles, radio ads and word of mouth. Guidance and leadership for event marketing initiatives in co-ordination with the executive director is what will strengthen the execution of all the events and organizational activities. You will lead in the planning and implementation of new event ideas, as well as regular scheduled events. Designing marketing campaigns for upcoming events will include following market research, using proved track records and data, brand building, and recording of efficiency and effectiveness of each event. Marketing and tracking will be very important to the success of Mall of The Arts its events and future projects.
Experience
Proven experience in event planning or coordination within a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
Strong customer service background with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
Proficiency in market research techniques to identify trends and opportunities in event planning.
