Job Overview
The Greater Moncton Home Builders’ Association (GMHBA) is seeking a motivated and outgoing Event Development Coordinator to join our team. This role is central to recruiting new members, strengthening relationships with existing members, and coordinating key events such as the annual Home Show and association social activities. Reporting to the Executive Officer (EO), the Development Coordinator also provides administrative support for committees and advocacy initiatives.

Au cœur de nos activités, ce rôle combine le recrutement de nouveaux membres, le maintien de liens solides avec nos membres actuels et l’organisation d’événements phares tels que le Salon de l’habitation et diverses activités sociales. Relevant directement du directeur général (DG), vous apporterez aussi votre soutien aux comités et à nos initiatives de représentation.

Responsibilities

Recruit new members and maintain strong relationships with existing members.
Lead communication with members via email, website, and social media.
Plan and deliver monthly dinner meetings and member events (Golf Tournament, Summer Outing, Christmas Gathering).
Manage exhibitor recruitment, booth sales, and seminar programming for the annual Home Show.
Support the EO with advocacy research, committee documentation, and project coordination.
Provide general administrative support, including maintaining mailing lists, responding to inquiries, and distributing documents.
Recruter, accueillir et fidéliser de nouveaux membres.
Dynamiser la communication avec nos membres (courriels, site web, médias sociaux).
Planifier et coordonner nos soupers mensuels et événements pour les membres (tournoi de golf, sortie estivale, fête de Noël).
Assurer le recrutement des exposants, la vente des kiosques et la programmation des séminaires pour le Salon de l’habitation.
Appuyer le DG dans la recherche, la préparation de documents et la coordination de projets liés à la représentation.
Offrir un soutien administratif efficace : gestion des listes de diffusion, réponses aux demandes, partage de documents.
Qualifications

Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident representing GMHBA in the community.
Knowledge of the construction/renovation sector is an asset.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, business development, or administration.
Bilingual (French and English) preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and database systems.
Autonome, bien organisé(e) et attentif(ve) aux détails.
À l’aise dans les communications, avec un bon sens des relations humaines.
Connaissance du secteur de la construction/rénovation (atout).
Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en ventes, développement des affaires ou administration.
Bilinguisme (français et anglais) préféré.
À l’aise avec Microsoft Office, Google Docs et les bases de données.
Education

University degree or college diploma in business administration or a related field preferred.
Diplôme collégial ou universitaire en administration des affaires ou domaine connexe, de préférence.
Employment Terms

30 hours/week with a mix of office work and stakeholder meetings.
Salary $40,000. – 44,000.
Vacation in line with employment standards.

This position is open to a person who resides in the Greater Moncton area, or the immediate area. The newest staff member will be in place and ready to embrace this exciting role, preferably by October 6th.
