Event Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Event Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and ensuring that all events run smoothly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel environment. You should have a strong understanding of audiovisual equipment and current trends, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will work closely with our events team to coordinate and execute events, including setup and teardown of equipment. You must be able to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

In this role, you will also be responsible for providing technical support for events and colleagues, maintaining the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms, and storage areas. You will consistently implement our service standards and operating procedures in the banquet and catering service.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. A Serving it Right Certificate is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients

Coordinate and execute events, including setup and teardown of equipment

Provide technical support for events and colleagues

Maintain the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms, and storage areas

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel environment

Strong understanding of audiovisual equipment and current trends

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
